ActOne Logo

ActOne ArtsBase runs vibrant all-ability dance, theatre and arts projects all over Hertfordshire and the surrounding area.

We work in inclusive spaces where everybody feels valued. We create inspiring performances of dance and drama with people from all backgrounds, whatever their abilities.

Our goal is to make the performing arts accessible to all, regardless of disability or circumstance. Using this approach, we break down prejudice and barriers to participation for hundreds of young people.

10 Awards for ActOne participants

Last year ActOne introduced the Young Peoples Arts Awards, an award that supports young people to develop as artists and arts leaders with a nationally recognised qualification at three levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold. The structure falls in well with ActOne's inclusive ethos and marks participants achievements.
I’m very pleased and proud to say that ten ActOne participants:
  • John Horne
  • Katie Ellerby
  • Alex McHardy
  • Rachel Palmer
  • Rebecca Chitty
  • James Tetlow
  • Samuel Selvadurai
  • Robbie Onechie Williams
  • Alexis Rathbone
  • Katie Shepherd
all achieved their Bronze Arts Award in July 08. A great achievement- well done all! Our Trainees will shortly go on to start work toward their Silver Award.

P has had a wonderful time with you and has gained so much in so many ways- confidence, self esteem and skills
