ActOne ArtsBase runs vibrant all-ability dance, theatre and arts projects all over Hertfordshire and the surrounding area.

We work in inclusive spaces where everybody feels valued. We create inspiring performances of dance and drama with people from all backgrounds, whatever their abilities.

Our goal is to make the performing arts accessible to all, regardless of disability or circumstance. Using this approach, we break down prejudice and barriers to participation for hundreds of young people.

Actone had a Fantastic Summer!

We ran 3 exciting Summer Projects over the holidays. Two week long projects ‘FULL TILT’ took place in Hertford and Hemel and a three day project ‘SCHWING’ ran in South Oxhey. Participants worked with a team of artists to devise a production, performed at the end of the week. This year we were very excited to have the addition of an African Djimbe Drummer on the team! During projects a group of young people worked towards gaining an Arts Award. The awards are nationally recognized qualifications at 3 levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. I am very pleased and proud to announce that Anj Mehta, Dan Jensen, Oliver Bannister and Adam Martin achieved their bronze arts award. Trainees Katie Ellerby and John Horne began their silver award. Great achievements! Look in our Gallery ((Link to the Gallery page)) to see pictures from our fantastic summer.

My daughter is proud to be a member - it boosts her self esteem. She is not made to feel different from anyone else, but part of a world where everyone is different, and can work together
