ActOne ArtsBase runs vibrant all-ability dance, theatre and arts projects all over Hertfordshire and the surrounding area.

We work in inclusive spaces where everybody feels valued. We create inspiring performances of dance and drama with people from all backgrounds, whatever their abilities.

Our goal is to make the performing arts accessible to all, regardless of disability or circumstance. Using this approach, we break down prejudice and barriers to participation for hundreds of young people.

Andy Birchwood (Design and Production)

I'm a graphic, web, and production designer for ActOne. I'm always inspired by the enthusiasm and happiness of ActOne's participants, and the warm, friendly atmosphere they create on ActOne projects. Suzie's amazing vision has created a unique space for people to express themselves without fear of prejudice!

Nick Frewin (Design and Production)

Working with ActOne ArtsBase gives me the chance to learn more about myself and those around me, to grow in areas that I am weak and above all to have a lot of fun!

Matt Whitbourn (Assistant of Design and Production)

I joined ActOne ArtsBase in 2003 to help with graphic design and technical work. In 2005 I became a trainee with the company and in 2006 became Assistant of Design and Production.

I like making friends, the staff are very friendly and kind.
